Take a Look Back at a Year of Achievements and Growth for the RRC in 2022 Year in Review Publication

AUSTIN – Over the last year, much has changed for the Railroad Commission as it grows to accommodate new duties assigned by the Texas Legislature.

RRC’s 2022 Year in Review publication looks back on a year of numerous accomplishments and shows an agency that is constantly evolving and adjusting as it works to improve in its regulation of the oil and gas industry, pipeline safety, critical gas infrastructure, coal and uranium surface mining, natural gas utilities and alternative fuel safety (LNG, CNG, LPG).

The Year in Review is split up into five sections and includes videos from the agency’s three commissioners.

The first section of the publication, “Expanding Role,” looks at how the agency has grown and added new responsibilities over the last year. The second section, “Above and Beyond,” shows the various recognition the agency has received from outside organizations and how RRC employees help others beyond their job functions.

The third section, “Protecting Public Safety and the Environment,” shows the various achievements the agency has made in protecting public safety and the environment over the last year. The fourth section, “Around the Agency” provides updates from RRC divisions and highlights some important hires.

The final section, “Improving Efficiency,” shows the ways the agency has modernized its computing systems to improve RRC processes and introduced new online databases over the last year.
