Open Meeting

The Railroad Commission of Texas will hold an open meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Instructions for Filing T-1s Using EDI

To request to file the T-1 form using EDI with the Railroad Commission:

  1. Complete the Master Electronic Filing Certificate (MEFC).
  2. Complete the Contact Worksheet. The information provided on this form is used to contact the filer if there are problems with a submitted file and to send status reports pertaining to processed files.
  3. After completing the two forms, you can email them to T1@rrc.texas.gov
    or send them to the RRC using one of the following addresses:

  4. Receipt of your request to submit T-1 files will be sent to you via email with additional instructions.

  6. Companies may create their own files or use a vendor's software package. See the Software Vendors List.
