Notice To Pipeline Operators: Update to Attribute Definitions Available Online

November 19, 2019

On November 19, 2019, an updated Texas Pipeline Mapping System (TPMS) Attribute Definitions, Valid Codes and Digital Projection Requirements will be available on the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) website.

The TPMS is a Geographic Information System database that requires pipeline attributes to be represented by certain codes. The attribute definitions are the required fields that pipeline operators must follow when submitting shapefiles to pass validations. The requirement document defines the required attribute fields within the database; and explains which codes are valid representations of those attributes.
