The P-16 Data Sheet, Acreage Designation, is adopted and available online.
September 16, 2014The P-16 Data Sheet, Acreage Designation, was adopted by the Railroad Commission of Texas for optional use on or after September 16, 2014.
In accordance with 16 Texas Administrative Code §§3.37, 3.38 and 3.40, the operator of subject lease may file a P-16 Data Sheet for the determination of acreage credit. The operator shall file for each oil or gas well in this lease and field, and shall list the number of acres that are being assigned to each well on the lease or unit.
P-16 Data Sheet is an optional form that may be filed in conjunction with each Form W-1, Application for Permit to Drill, Recomplete, or Re-Enter, and each Form W-2/G-1, Oil Well Potential Test, Completion or Recompletion Report, and Log/ Gas Well Back Pressure Test, Completion or Recompletion Report, and Log. An amended P-16 Data Sheet may also be filed independently when acreage designation updates are necessary to an existing lease.
