ERCOT Grid Conditions
August 24, 2023The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is projecting tight electricity grid conditions today, Thursday, August 24, beginning in the afternoon through the evening. The potential for similar tight grid conditions might exist tomorrow as well.
ERCOT has issued a Conservation Appeal from 3-10 p.m. today, requesting Texans conserve electricity use.
The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) requests operators under its jurisdiction to prepare to maintain operations during these grid conditions.
