Texas.Gov Payments General Maintenance

Notice to Operators: RRC Online Payments will be unavailable Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 9:30 PM CT to 11:00 PM CT.  During this time, customers using RRC applications will be unable to process online payments through Texas.gov payment services and will be redirected to a maintenance page and unable to complete payments until after the maintenance is complete. 

Notice to Operators: Groundwater Protection Determination Request Form Can Now Be Filed Online

The Railroad Commission of Texas (Commission) has completed the design and development of the online filing application for the Groundwater Protection Determination Request Form (Form GW-1). This system will enable oil and gas operators to submit requests to the Commission more conveniently and quickly, and will enable Commission staff to review those requests in a more prompt and efficient manner. The system will also audit each submission to minimize errors and provide for fee payments for expedited applications through the official website for the State of Texas at http://www.texas.gov.
