The RRC occasionally offers draft rule proposals for informal comment. These rule drafts are working drafts that have not been finalized and have not been submitted to the Texas Register for publication for public comment.
Not all rule proposals go through an informal comment period; therefore, only the Commission divisions which have rules out for informal comment are listed below. Updated: 9/19/2013
|Title & Contact Person||Deadline for Informal Comments|
Commission staff have prepared certain draft amendments to 16 TAC §3.9, relating to Disposal Wells; §3.36, relating to Oil, Gas, or Geothermal Resource Operation in Hydrogen Sulfide Areas; and §3.46, relating to Fluid Injection into Productive Reservoirs, and request input from the public regarding these potential rule changes. Please be advised that the Commission is not required to respond in writing or otherwise to any informal comments received at this time, but will nonetheless take them into consideration prior to publishing a formal proposal to amend these rules in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Administrative Procedures Act. The Commission also proposes to revise six existing forms and adopt two new forms.
