Notice to Operators - Amendments to Statewide Rule 28: Potential Deliverability of Gas Wells to be Ascertained and Reported & Revisions to Form G-10 – Gas Status Report

As part of the Texas Oilfield Relief Initiative, the Railroad Commission of Texas (Commission) adopted amendments to 16 Texas Administrative Code §3.28 (Statewide Rule 28), relating to Potential Deliverability of Gas Wells to be Ascertained and Reported, effective January 1, 2017. In addition, the Commission adopted revisions to Form G-10, Gas Status Report, for use on or after January 1, 2017.

The amendments to Statewide Rule 28 adjust the methodology regarding deliverability testing for gas wells to minimize the frequency of such tests, thereby reducing associated costs to industry.
